Yes, I'm a Star Trek fan-girl. Have been since I was 10 years old and the original series started. As I've aged, I find I'm still entertained by the lives of the people who live in the 24th century and serve the United Federation of Planets. As a writer, I'm fascinated by the way the characters develop, especially those characters who begin as little more than furniture on the set. My absolute favorite character is Worf.
Every writer has a muse, though some are too stuck-up to admit it. I am Calliope, Anne Manning's muse and I'm going to dish the secrets behind Anne's (and my) books.
Calliope here. And I'm lonely. Where the heck is Anne? She's got me locked in this dungeon that she calls an office...yuk-yuk. And I'm so bored I'm tempted to take up Sudoku.
My muse, Calliope, is out of control. She used to be well-behaved, sitting quietly in the back of my mind, whispering words of inspiration. Now she's decided that she needs to write content for my webpage! The nerve!
I just found three of my books being shared online. One of them, a relatively new release, has more downloads than my royalty statements say I've sold. So, right now, I'm really bummed.
